In step-through electric motorcycles, batteries are typically installed under the footboard, leaving very limited room for connector operation. Conventional high-current connectors commonly exhibit the following issues in this scenario:

Difficult disconnection

In tight spaces, fingers struggle to maintain a stable grip, and the angle of applied force is restricted, making it difficult to generate sufficient pull-out force.

Unstable connection

During insertion, spatial and angular limitations often result in incomplete mating, repeated adjustments, or insecure connections.

Poor user experience and potential safety risks
Unsmooth plugging and unplugging negatively impact user experience, while frequent handling may lead to loose contacts, overheating, or accidental contact hazards.

To address the challenges of high-current connection in confined spaces of step-through electric motorcycles, we developed the LD80 Connector.The product is designed around single-handed operation, reduced insertion and extraction force, compact structure, and enhanced safety, with the goal of significantly improving the user experience during battery swapping and charging.

With a narrow 40 mm body, the LD80 fits seamlessly into high-density layouts such as step-through electric motorcycles, minimizing installation interference.

Integrated charge and discharge solution

Provides an 80 A discharge + 40 A charge combined solution. The finger-protection cap meets IPXXB requirements, simplifying wiring harness design while enhancing electrical safety.

Developed based on real pain points in the electric motorcycle market, the LD80 Assisted Connector is primarily intended for electric motorcycle applications.Thanks to its effort-saving operation and compact structure, it is also well suited for use in robots / AGVs, portable energy storage systems / mobile power supplies, and selected industrial equipment.
