Challenges

Large multi-cell battery systems need power + extensive BMS sampling; long-term vibration demands reliable connection. A hybrid connector with more signal pins and robust locking is needed.

Positioning

Dream 3+8 is a 3-power+8-signal hybrid connector with higher signal pin count for large multi-cell Li-ion systems.

Features

The Dream 3+8 combines three 16A power contacts with eight 2A signal contacts in one high-density hybrid housing, addressing the needs of high-configuration electric vehicles that require drive power plus extensive multi-channel BMS and sensor signal transmission through a single interface.

Its reinforced locking system and contact geometry resist fretting and disconnection under prolonged motor and road vibration, while the additional signal channels support richer battery telemetry and more sophisticated control features, reducing harness complexity, lowering assembly cost, and enabling smarter, more feature-rich vehicle electrical systems without sacrificing connection durability or packaging efficiency.

Applications

Large ESS battery, high-power trike, commercial small ESS, large swap module

FAQ

Q

Are Chogori connector samples provided free of charge? What is the process and lead time for requesting samples?

A
Chogori supports free sample requests for potential customers, subject to review by the sales or technical support team.

Process: Contact the sales team → Provide the required product model and specifications → Submit project or quotation information → Upon approval, the samples will be shipped.

The typical sample shipping lead time is 2–7 business days, depending on the model and sample availability.
Q

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)? Can small-batch orders be supported for initial trial production?

A

As a manufacturer with scalable production capabilities, Chogori can handle MOQ requirements flexibly based on the product series and customization needs. Most standard models support small trial-production batches, with samples available free of charge or for a nominal fee.

For specially customized products, the minimum order quantity can be discussed based on specific requirements. We recommend contacting our sales team directly to coordinate the order quantity and production schedule.

Q

For exports to Europe, CE and RoHS compliance is required. Do you have a REACH SVHC test report available?

A
Chogori connector materials comply with RoHS and REACH environmental requirements, enabling the products to be marketed and used in Europe without compliance barriers. Customers who require a REACH SVHC test report may contact our sales or technical support team to obtain the relevant documentation.
Q

Has Chogori's connectors passed UL 1977 or UL 2238 certification?

A
Some Chogori products are UL certified, including certifications to standards such as UL 1977 and UL 2238. The company actively implements the IATF 16949 Quality Management System and maintains stringent quality management standards. For certification details and certificates for specific product models, please contact our sales team for further information.
Q

Is it normal for the housing of a high-current connector to become very hot or even too hot to touch? How should this be handled?

A
High-current connectors may experience some temperature rise under rated load, but they should not become excessively hot or too hot to touch.

Common causes of excessive heating include:

The actual operating current exceeding the rated current
Excessive contact resistance
Poor terminal crimping or undersized cables
Loose or oxidized internal terminals or contacts

Recommended actions: Stop operation immediately and check whether the contact resistance exceeds the specified range. Inspect the terminal crimping points for looseness or oxidation. If a problem is identified, replace the affected components, reduce the load, or re-crimp the cable as required.
